  • Is The WorkShell a new product?
The WorkShell, which was developed more than 15 years ago, has gained significant popularity in Europe and continues to be widely sold. This versatile product has proven its durability and remains a preferred choice for individuals seeking temporary or permanent covered solutions for work and storage space.
  • Can I extend or reduce the length of the structure?
The WorkShell is available in 20ft (6m) segments and seamlessly fits onto commercial shipping containers. It offers the convenience of connecting multiple WorkShell units together without any limitations. For a standard 40ft (12m) shipping container, two sections of WorkShell are typically utilized to achieve the desired coverage.
  • Can I extend or reduce the width of the shelter?
The WorkShell has a fixed width of 20ft (6m) and cannot be altered. However, when connecting the WorkShell to a shipping container, you have the flexibility to attach it to the outer side of the container. This arrangement allows the container to be positioned inside or underneath the WorkShell cover. As a result, the overall width of the open covered area is reduced by 8ft (the width of the container), providing you with a 12ft workspace.
  • What is the height of the WorkShell shelter?
The height of the WorkShell is dependent on the height of the object on which it is being installed. When assembling the WorkShell on a container, the overall height of the shelter reaches 14ft 5 inches (440cm). The peak height, measured from the base of the WorkShell framework where it connects to the container or wall, to the highest point of the roof, is 5ft 10.86 inches (180cm). Additionally, the side height of the framework measures 1ft 11.62 inches (60cm).
  • What is the size of the doorway in the end-wall?
The WorkShell comes with a door opening of 9 ft 9.32inches x 10ft 8.74 inches (298cm x 327cm). The rollup door can be opened in two left and right sections independently.
  • How is the WorkShell fixed to a shipping container?
The WorkShell has been designed to connect with standard 20 ft (6m) shipping containers as well as 40 ft (12m) shipping containers. We provide container clamps that secure the structure to the container, without causing it any damage. No welding or drilling into the shipping container is necessary.
  • How is the WorkShell fixed to supporting walls or other structures?
To secure the WorkShell, you have the option of attaching it to a wall or other suitable structures. This is achieved by utilizing a set of baseplates that securely fasten to the supporting wall or appropriate structures using expansion bolts.
  • Can the shelter be used without the end walls?
The WorkShell is thoughtfully designed with optional end walls. These end walls do not bear any load, ensuring that the shelter remains strong and stable even without them. If you decide to incorporate end walls, you have the flexibility to choose either a single end wall or both, depending on your preference for closing off the structure.
  • How long will it take to assemble a WorkShell?
The assembly of the WorkShell utilizes standard tools and typically takes around 1-2 days to complete. For your convenience, the WorkShell is accompanied by an Assembly Manual. We highly recommend reviewing the manual prior to unpacking the product. In the event that you have misplaced the manual, we are more than happy to email you a replacement copy.
